Explosions at Boston Marathon

The marathon has been suspended after two explosions were reported at the finish line. Nearly fifty people are reportedly injured, and there are twelve of fatalities as well. First responders are on the scene and the city has implemented emergency procedures.

Initial reports second blast came from a trash can, & often used hiding place for explosive devices. The Boston bomb squad is on the scene as reports come in of suspicious devices. A third device was fiound at the JFK library. When people see something, they are saying something, and that's a good thing. Cities from Boston to DC, New York to San Franciosco are now on a heightened alert level.

This picture was captured at the moment of the first explosion. Law enforcement is now saying is was a homemade bomb that was the preliminary cause. The NY Post is reporting that "authorities have a identified a suspect, who is currently being guarded in a Boston hospital with shrapnel wounds." CBS news is reporting that Boston police have surveillance video of someone bringing multiple backpacks to blast site.
