Airport Security: Not All Employees Screened

CTI Vice President Trenton Higareda weighs in on the airport employee screening debate. Union workers are concerned that non-union employees do not go through the same background check process as they do. However everyone who works on the airport, regardless of their status, is required to be cleared. Security procedures also require anyone in the secure area without a badge to be challenged, escorted out and reported. The question of whether to enhance physical screening to 100% for airport employees remains to be addressed.
