No full screening for airport workers - CNN.com

Homeland Security believes random screening is a sufficient deterrent to airport workers who might try and violate TSA regulations or break the law. It's probably just as accurate to say 100% employee screening is prohibitively expensive for most airports and the TSA itself. This compromise, along with full screening of traveling airport/airline employees, and criminal background checks every two years will still have an impact on the business side; how it affects the security side remains to be seen.
