Preventing Mass Casualty Shootings In a Campus Environment

This is a very well done Active Shooter Video, aimed at a Campus environment. The ESCAPE version of Run Hide Fight is played out well, but I do think the Run Hide Fight verbiage is easier to get across and remember. All the points in this video could have been covered just as well with the Run Hide Fight verbiage, and would match the rest of the world, or at least what is taught in the USA. But all in all a well done video. Well worth a look.

Super Bowl 50 Flight Security To Include F-15 Fighter Jets, Helicopters

Here is a thought to ponder, at this point of an attack by the Core AQ, or as a person said the old school AQ, based on the 911 attack we would be around 24 months into the attack, well past the training phase, surveillance at this point is just making sure nothing has changed. Now if just one person that saw the work up to a possible attack had said something when they saw something, we would be talking about another failed plot. Not to late, say something, someone did see something, if it is going to happen.

Epic Navy bribery scandal shows how easy it can be to steal military secrets

There is a lot to learn from this article, probably the most important is that human nature, is just that human nature. It is like a con man making a deal with you, he knows he is dealing with human nature and just works with it. Yes we all have different values, at least we think we do, but one of the first teachings in Counter Espionage is that there are values we all have that pretty much can be summed up in three words, philosophy has identified them over the years, as our basic needs. Sex is a big one, and has been used in all ways. Money sounds like a big one, but normally it comes down to a measuring stick for our ego's, which is a big one. Good read lots to learn.

World's 50 most violent cities revealed, and 21 of them are in Brazil

This is somewhat slanted, since it came out of Mexico, which still has a lot of the most violent listed here, but there are far more dangerous in Mexico, they just do not let the numbers out to the world. Reynosa and Matamoros come to mind. They are located less that 30 miles apart and have large Golfo Cartel problems, most are in between different branches of the Cartel, or sub cartel gangs. It is interesting to note that Baltimore Md. has made it into the top 50, but if you look at crime trends even the County that is always in the top three richest counties in the USA, Montgomery County Md. has seen a large spike in gang violence. Trump will be happy to hear most of the gang violence comes from illegal immigrants that came to the USA with Gang ties, and they just got worse. If we follow the trends of how these cities got this way, it almost always goes back to small shift, crime that went unchecked so more crime started. With the exception of a few small cities, no bunch of criminals just took over, it is a small growth like a cancer that if aloud to grow, will kill a city. Look at Acapulco, once a safe haven for tourism, that everyone said would never have these problems. But it kept growing and growing till now it is one of the Most Dangerous Cities in the world. There are no known solutions to the problem, but there are projects that show promise. We need to cultivate this projects, reject the ones not working and promote the ones that are. It makes for some tough choices but we need to get working on it now. I know it sounds naive but See Something Say Something, is a good start. The more we open up the world to see the problems, the faster the light can shine on them, and then solutions become clearer. How is that grasshopper? But it is real, it is one of the reasons we need a good solid Press, we need it all to be seen. It is always a fall back to say the Police or other Law Enforcement will solve the problems. It is not going to happen, Police can not be everywhere, they need us to point out the bad guys, we need to be the eyes and ears for all of us.

Herzog: Better fence could have saved West Bank terror victim

To think you can rely on any fence is just not going to work. Fences can slow down a few folks, but anyone can beat any fence, wall, gate if given enough time and or tools. Folks have always gotten past them, and a test by the Army Corp of Engineers conducted at Nuclear Facilities showed the biggest baddest fences delayed attackers less than 20 seconds. In my time spent in Israel and the wall being used between the west bank and Israel, people actually made appointments in Jerusalem, knowing they would have to cross the wall. Cell phone calls are made to setup folks throwing things to people on the other side of the wall. Walls and fences are more like flow control, people tend to avoid them, but can get over under or around them as needed.

The Great Brain Robbery

More on the Chinese Cyber and old school espionage. Take a look, one State in America is buying from China systems hacked from US companies. The US Company has lost 600 of its high of 900 employees because of the cyber espionage China has conducted. Now is the US protecting the rights of this company? In a word No. Now 600 jobs left to China, and then we turn around and buy the Chinese product.

Spy Stories for Lawyers: Former FBI Counterintelligence Officer on Combating Cyber Espionage

This is an excellent article, the FBI expert says the OPM attack is by far the worst attack on the US Cyber Space, it is worse than Snowden and the rest by far. It may stay the worst for years to come. OPM really does not know how long the malware was collecting data, and actually all of what they got. We do know this in recruiting Spies in the now and in the future, you look for secrets we all have, and usually can be seen by reviewing out clearance applications. Not to mention they have the history of everyone in the data base, people that will be rising through the ranks in the next decade. So the Chinese can target the folks they need, and have most of what could ever be found out about them. Keep an eye on the fall out from the OPM hack, it will be showing up for years. Now OPM was hit at least twice, the first they came in through a contracted vendor to OPM, doing clearance background work. The second and most damaging came directly into OPM, probably assisted from information gained from the first hack. We need to understand how they the Chinese keep doing this. One is persistence, they constantly keep trying, hitting every entry point they can. With the OPM hack, they know which people are getting access to what sensitive data, and then target them as well. In Washington DC, most major hotels near major attack points like the Pentagon, Capital Hill and such have visitors that come from far and wide to meet with the people in these places. Chinese use both lower end and high end trained cyber hackers to attack, they log on to the Hotel Internet and then use off the shelf programs like Cybershark and more sophisticated programs to sniff what is going on, on the Hotel network. They look for people signing on to high security databases, as well as non secure data bases. This often gives them access to information they can both just capture as it comes over the Hotel network, as well as send log in data to folks in China so they can log in and target the data they want. After a week, or if the attacker has enough good data, they pack up and leave, letting another agent come in to the hotel, and keep looking. They have teams that hit the Starbucks, and other cyber access points around the city, trolling for anything they can find. Now with the OPM data, they can also as soon as they find something interesting, look up other people working on the data of interest and then look up home addresses to make attempts there. Now look at this scenario, they use OPM data they already have to find addresses of people of interest, now they head to the home of the person. They see a number of wireless cameras outside the home. Since many are made in China and have backdoors into their operating systems, they look to see what the wireless router codes are, which the cameras use to link them up to your home computers to use as monitors. Now they have router codes and passwords, next just like the hotel they sit and watch the traffic on your local home internet, looking for things of interest, and other log on information you send. Like folks logging on to Government and Corporate systems. Not spending to much time on site, so they can limit the chances of getting caught, they send the log on data and any other passwords they can get back home to China, usually almost in real time, so it an be exploited from there. By the way all the attackers would need to zero in on the Clinton email server, which was also the database server for much of the Clinton private data, was the header info from one email. Then you enter a whoisit command that then tells you what kind of system they had, what the operating system was, and the address of where the server is to some extent. So it would not be to hard to believe that the Clinton's system was hacked even before she left the Senate. But I think the same could be said of the Unclassified State Department email servers.

Gulf Cartel Weapons and Narcotics Way Station Raided - In Texas - Breitbart

There's more than a hundred of these active in Texas at any one time. Some smaller most bigger. In the Cimarron housing division 4 have been found and raided in the last couple of years. If you take all of Mission, Texas, the number increases by at minimum a factor of 4. All along the Texas Mexico border, there's a fluctuation of these from time to time. It is usually based on a risk analysis, opportunity ( houses available, people that can be used) among other factors. A real study needs to be done, looking at the factors. It would be interesting to take known trafficking houses, known vehicle activities around them, and then review city and local cctv recordings in an ever widening circle from these stash houses. Using the findings, develop templates that can be used to discover more stash houses. We really need to be thinking out side of the box to raise the game on drug interdiction.

Watch Sicario () online - Amazon Video

I finally have watched this movie a few times. Interesting scenario laid out here, but it has very little to do with Mexican Cartel Sicario types or even the drug war down here on the border. It is based on a revenge killer from Columbia coming to Mexico. Now here is the bad part, it is except for the beheaded bodies depicted at one point, fairly tame next to what is happening down on the border. Most of what are called Sicario's down here are usually drugged up and and drunk ex or active Police or Military. The have training, but tend to rely more on corruption to set up Kills and kidnapping. It does not take a lot of skill to have local police pull over the victims and make sure they are disarmed before giving them to the killers. The drugs and alcohol the killers use is to fortify them for the terrible atrocities they put victims through before killing them. There have been a number of books written by authors who claim to be interviewing Sicario killers who talk tho them. Having read a number of them, it looks a lot like most have talked to the same killer. Most talk about being recruited in their early 20's, many into the Police Force's for training. All the books talk about a minimum of 2 Cartel Sicario killers in every Police class for the last 10 to 20 years. Cartel Sicario killers are more and more only active on the Mexico side of the border where they can control the police better. The Cartel's are moving to a more management role in the US to include the border. They are funding and bringing in Gang Members to be enforcers, under Cartel Management. The active part is interesting in itself, often victims are kidnapped on the US side driven over to Mexico where the Cartel Killers take over. All in all their are a lot more movies and documentaries on the Cartel killing available, that are much truer to the actual activities of killers for the Cartel than this movie.

Failures of Imagination: The Deadliest Threats to Our Homeland--and How to Thwart Them

This book written by the Chairman of the House, Homeland Security Committee, is a must read. This is set up in a scenario method, He uses actual national security scenarios to build events, then goes back and discusses the known intell that supports the scenario. It makes for both a thrilling read, and a sobering look at how the ground work for this type of scenario's is already in place. He first looks at scenario coming over the border from Canada, then a dirty bomb coming up from South crossing the Mexican border. He makes the case for both happening, and perhaps even starting to happen now. An interesting scenario, one that is way to close to home this year, is China pouring in money to effect our elections to include the Presidential Election. When he goes back to show how this can happen, you only have to go back to the last Clinton Presidential run for Bill Clinton. Over 5 Chinese American Businessmen went to jail or fled to China to avoid prosecution. A Korean also went to jail, all for illegally funneling foreign money into the Clinton Campaign. Could it happen, it turns out to be easier now than ever before. What watchdogs do we have, they all come from the Obama Justice Department, some may have doubts, but the FBI will stay the course, like the US Secret Service most are a political when it comes to prosecution of bad guys.

Another prop often used by clients are lapel microphones that can be dangerous. We had three embarrassing moments with President Reagan when we had been told the Mic's had been turned off, and they where not. In the end I always used our TSCM equipment to insure they were indeed off. With out the equipment, the safest bet is to take it off the client. Still watch for them taking emergancy info by phone or even in person from staff. Just putting your hand over the mic, will not work. On two well used systems, just pulling out the mic jack from the transmitter will not work, the transmitter has it's own internal mic. It is best to review any equipment like this that is around the client. In many cases when the Press setup microphones on the speakers podium, they are also hot. So staff running up to check them can be heard talking most of the time. Be very careful of both microphones as well as cameras. A lot of board rooms are set with cameras and mic's that are always on, please check. By the way your cheap little RF detector will often catch wireless mic's that are still on, to include cell phones left on at the podium. More and more press are using cell phones as backup podium mic's just be careful.

House Homeland chair warns of terror attacks at Disney, Oscars, Mall of America

Not having read the book yet, very few comments. But one comes to mind, and that is soft targets, the mall in your small town, or the next parade, even the next dance, or wedding like the Palestinian Radicals like to target in Israel are the soft targets the ISIS and AQAP are working against. The main core AQ terrorist cells may still point to the big targets, but they have sophisticated planning and trained operatives. It is true the main AQ is out there and they are trying to make a big hit, but even the Fatwa they operate under requires a plan with a 75% chance of success, not easy with all the Law Enforcement folks around. They will probably hit a softer target as well, for their next hit, just to prove they are still around. Look to local malls, small campuses, smaller churches, even the inner cities of small towns, where the restaurants and bars are. Places that could never have the Law Enforcement presence that smaller towns have. It will be the eyes and ears of the small town citizens that are going to find these terrorists, we just need to get away from this "it could never happen here" mindset. It could happen anywhere and we need everyone to help keep an eye out for them. Every Protection Team, every Security Guard all need to be very alert, as well as every citizen, it could be your family that finds itself in the middle of one of these attacks, so it is up to all of us to See Something, Say Something. For all of you armed, be careful, if it is showing you will be the first targets, probably for a suicide bomber, where your weapon will not be that effective. For those with weapons not showing, be careful as well, take the moves the Air Marshals use, hold for a second, get cover if you can concealment if you can't and look for other shooters, before you commit. Get other Civilians clear if you can, if the shooter does not go down, fire will come your way quickly, and you need to have your family and other innocent citizens out of the fire zone as much as possible. But then by God shoot them, negotiations will do nothing, shoot and shoot to kill. May God bless your actions, that is for everyone that gets one person out of a fire or bombing zone. If you can not shoot, then get people away and cover them from shooters.

China: Tycoon abducted, pays $15.6m ransom and is forced to kill a girl

Two points to this article, one the Victim was forced to kill a young girl as a ploy to stop him from going to the Police, he did, paid and was released, he went to police anyhow, and 4 were caught. Two, the kidnappers used a handmade gun to kidnap the victim. Gun restrictions are heavy in China, yet still hand made guns are fairly available as are regular weapons on the black market. Back in the 80's two guys over a weekend made a fully automatic Uzi style weapon in their machine shop. 90% of the Rockets fired out of the Gaza Strip are made in the Gaza Strip, at plumbers shops even bike shops have made them. Restriction of weapons is not the answer. The British Sterling machine gun only needs a heavy metal shop for the barrel and the receiver, the rest is just stamped and folded metal. Cost to make back then was 37$, Bad guys will always make weapons as needed.

Mexican cartel violence spills into U.S. as 'drug assassin' pleads no contest to beheading man...

This did not happen in the Mid East or North Africa, or even in Mexico, it happen here in the United States, a three man assassination team joined with a local to kidnap, and kill by beheading a low level drug dealer, who had fled and hid in the Arizona area. An assassination team was dispatched to kill him, The local befriended the victim and worked with the team to kill him. In the article the DEA, Border Patrol, and a renown expert all say that it is very rare for assassinations by the Cartels to happen in the USA. Part of that is true, yet Assassination Teams have been running around the Rio Grande Valley for a number of years at least. A four man team was staying in an apartment Pharr, Tx, they had a task for a number of weeks to enforce drug problems for a cartel in the area. It is interesting to see how they worked their tasks. Taking victims over to Mexico and killing them there, reportedly at least two times while they where in town. Another team, of at least 5, reportedly Zetas set up training and a holding area for a hostage at a ranch in northern Mission. An informant not only reported on the training and staging area, he knew who was going to be snatched. Once again reportedly the Sheriff Department called off two raids on the staging area, and when the victim had been snatched, and was at the ranch. He was walked across the bridge into Mexico with his mother, then she returned, the price for the family not being targeted as well. The victim was murdered by the team in Mexico and placed in a barrel of burning oil, some say before he was dead. Now the Local Departments, including Federal Agencies did not have to report a kidnapping and or a murder. So the folks in the Article are correct in their statements. Now reportedly another hit man has lived for at least 3 years on this side of the border in a little town near Rio Grande City, he was arrested last year on another charge. As the article says the Cartels do not want to make waves over here on this side of the border. What that said, the Cartels are moving to using Gangs, some loosely affiliated, some virtually indentured servants to the Cartels. In one case a gang from LA has been funded to expand to other areas as the enforcers and ground team for drug sales. This arrangement is working all over the USA, with nominal Cartel leaders taking a pretty hands off management role, while both street gangs and bike gangs are used for transport and street sales as well as both are given the enforcement roles as needed. This allows the Cartels to not be involved in violence, yet it still gets done. It allows the Law Enforcement to point to gang violence not Cartels as acting in the US. It has also helped cool down some of the gang violence since the Cartels do not want the extraneous violence that brings down the wrath of law enforcement. People need to understand that the Cartels need to play these games, yet still keep rivals and stragglers who may make trouble in line. To say that the Cartels are not incorporating violence into their actions on this side of the border is not even close to the truth.

USA: Twelve Korean women freed from sex trafficking ring, thirteen men charged for their involvement

Just so you do not feel so superior this is happening right now in cities all over America. The really grim news is people are eyeing your daughters and other family members right now, for forced abduction to Europe and the Middle East. Young girls are prayed on by false modeling or entertainment front companies, others are just grabbed as they walk our streets. Stopping it everywhere is the only real solution, so this was a good start for the year. There are ports up and down the Americas where whole containers full of girls are shipped to brothels all over Europe, the Middle East, even China and Japan, yes even Korea. One Professor in the RGV wrote her dissertation on the paths of trafficking of women. She traced them from cities and towns all over South America to points near and in Mexico, some never leave our shores, they just are kept in slavery fairly locally.

Jewish man taken hostage in Mexico City released

This is a very professional kidnapping, sorry but it had to be said. Mexico City has had more than one high level kidnapping, and more and more low level kidnapping like the Cartels are want to do. In this case a Security Guard was paid to let the kidnappers into the building. All should take notice of this, in many cases the only thing between us and the bad guys is a security guard, low paid and often treated poorly as well. As many of you in the Executive Protection field know, we also often rely on bell men, door men, and yes security guards to stretch our ranks. One we all need to be aware they can be turned, as can even well paid professionals, but two if we treat these folks as part of the team and with respect, you will find from my experience that it is much harder to get to them, and their actions and inaction will often tell you something is wrong. But the only way to know, is to interact with them, that does not mean you have to let them in on your inner workings but know them enough to tell if something is wrong. I can speak to two times when door men acting off let me know of danger.

In two of the books that claim to be written from the words of former Cartel Killers, both talk of staying both drunk and high from the first time they ever did any work. There is some belief the same killer was the subject of both books. Recruited into the Cartel;s early the killer(s) went to work as policemen. The majority of their work was killing other Cartel members, but some was to keep possible witnesses in line, some innocents that just had the misfortune to see the Cartel Killers in action. This fear, is not registered as a crime, on both sides of the border. Yet fear permeates families, businesses even school children, that see gangs or wannabe gang members show off, even though they know the same fear that they could be killed as well. Fear grows and expands it is hard to define, and often even harder to admit, we need to understand that this fear is making Mexico a living hell, and is slowly moving in the the USA perhaps not so slowly. It does not show on the crime stats here in the USA, just as the thousands upon thousands of missing people in Mexico do not show on their stats. But the numbers are real and growing, and something needs to be done about. it.

Meet the man who says he 'disappeared' 30 people for a Mexican drug cartel — and has no regrets

If you want to hear from a killers own mouth how he carries out kidnappings, and torture, then usually kills them, here you go. If you are armed, it just requires another man or two, if not then two people can kidnap people with out a problem, good to know. Actually in a country where to witness a kidnapping is extremely dangerous, to expect witnesses is not in the game. When you do not have to worry about witnesses or even family in most cases doing things illegal is very easy. Claiming to be a professional when the downside risk is almost zero is kinda funny in some way. Virtually any bully could do this work, but only in a country that allowed it to happen.

Mexico: Los Rojos believed to be responsible for murder of Temixco Mayor

The local Cartel basically decided that the new Mayor was going cause the rates of paying off cops to go up. It also did not like the Mayor saying she was going to request, that the State Police keep an eye on her towns policemen, making it harder for the Cartels to operate. In the face of these allegations the only proper response for the Country of Mexico would be to eliminate the Los Rojos by arrests and combat. If a country allows for this type of frontal assault on its local Governments, then it has lost all chances of even looking like a Government in charge of its own country. This is a wake up call to the Mexican Government, that it will not allow this type of action to happen in any of its Cities, or too it Citizens.

Mexico: Shot and burned Sinaloa bodies likely those of missing Australian surfers

Australian Governments warnings do not reflect what the US and Canada do about driving anywhere in Mexico at night. People need to understand the dangers involved in traveling in Mexico, the US State Department has very strong warnings, and most of it has been from experience over the years. It can be very dangerous and even if you do get back in one piece it normally has required pay offs to various entities. Deaths do not get reported all the time, they often get dumped into a file called missing. If missing for a while, it often gets moved into the lost and forgotten file, which only moves back to the missing file if family members keep asking about it. Even then it may not get investigated, less than 20% of missing make it into the murder solved category, and unofficially it is more like a 2% or less solved rate. Murder rates are high in Mexico but missing, lost and forgotten rates are almost unbelievable.

Video: BBC News in 60 secs – Which countries pay ransoms for hostages?

The biggest change is the US will allow for families to pay ransoms, and not be charged. In the past all sorts of games had to be played to pay ransoms from the US. Probably a good move, but also look at Europe that actually pays from the Government for getting citizens back, they have paid over 125 million last year, and their people get taken virtually every day now. The British like the US allow payments from families, and Britten also allows Corporations to pay ransoms as well. In the US the border kidnapping has been so small change in the past, families often pay as soon as the person is taken. But this may change like the core of Mexico the price of kidnapping has gone up on the border, at least for a few. Most where in the 80 thousand dollars range of less, two recently have been for 2 million dollars, and in one case the person was not returned alive, even after the payment. When I first came down to the border area, I was amazed at how, next to Europe the kidnapping along the border was so amateurish and everything happen so fast. From kidnapping to first call is often within hours, with damage to the victim within a day, if not paid. There was very little time to even get negotiators involved, and most went with out any professional security people involved. It seems to be getting a little more formalized, perhaps some of the kidnap crews from central Mexico, who are fairly sophisticated, are being brought in to advise the border kidnappers, no one really knows.

This is a must read for any folks in the K&R Business, or Executive Protection or Corporate Security. Probably the most interesting is the increase of using emails for negotiations. It takes a bit more sophistication to do a blind email, or one that can not be traced, than to buy a few burner phones and just keep throwing them away.

UPDATE: Double homicide victims, suspects identified

This video of the shooting is informative for a number of reasons, one this is not in North African or the Middle East, it is not even in Mexico, it is Mission Texas on a Holiday weekend afternoon. https://youtu.be/BZUghsgKSqU there are homes around this one, with wives and kids around. 4 Shooters, 2 people being attacked, bails of Marijuana around. Not a huge rush to leave the scene and and at least two video cameras filming the event, one labeled camera 2 and on labeled camera 4. The time is off on the video, perhaps even the data by a day. Suspects are still at large.

As open carry takes effect, officials predict lawsuits

For all my fellow gun protection types, this new law helps in some ways, but carries some very possible negatives. It helps that if a weapon peaks out of a jacket or ankle holster, the wearer cannot be in danger of losing a weapon. But in addition to the gun free zones that this article sees as possible problems, there is also another big issue. Intimidation, if a wearer, tries to intimidate another person or even if the other person feels intimidated, then legal issues could be raised. Now this usually will be ruled in the favor on the gun wearer, but just the legal costs and time it takes Law Enforcement and the Courts to deal with it, are possibly going to be substantive. if multiple charges occur, than at some point the Courts will find the weapon carrier at fault. It is like a person that gets into fights all the time. If multiple witness come forward to back even a single charge, then it could go bad for the carrier. This may not be right, or even fair, but it is fact. Bottom line you have the right to carry, but other citizens could feel threatened by it.. We all know someone that is looking to impress or bully another, if they think an open carry is the way to accomplish that, I see lots of legal actions in you their future, costly legal actions.

Mayor of Mexico city murdered one day after she took office

This is not a good start to the new year, murdered less than 24 hours after she took office. Cartels, wanted to make a quick statement, using young kids to hit the mayor and degrade her as they killed her. It takes a lot of bravery to run for office in Mexico, even corrupt ones have to worry about rival cartels. In this case a lot of questions come to mind, why no protection, even family may have helped. So there are flags on the play at once, there are inconsistencies in how this played out. No protection but a quick Police response once the killers started to leave. Mexico needs to be as transparent as possible with this, and every brave soul that takes office corrupt or not, needs protection, both physical and technical, like alarms, communications, and perhaps CCTV that saves to the cloud so events can be held for investigation. The UN should if possible take action to oversee the actions of the Mexican Government, much like to monitoring of several cites in the US have had by the DOJ over the years, when Police actions have been called into question. Mexico has USAid Trainers and other Law Enforcement in place for training and aid to the Citizens of Mexico, it is time the UN has stepped in to provide active monitoring of the Mexican Government to oversee its anti corruption efforts. The Drug Cartels, more accurately called Trans National Criminal Organizations, but known as the Cartel's by the world have effectively became a shadow Government in Mexico, with more power than the elected Government. With UN Monitors in place that have enough effective man power to control the Cartels, it is possible for the Citizens of Mexico to take back their Country, with all its vast natural and manpower assets. Like oil, and other minerals, as well as a large trained labor force.

At C.D.C., a Debate Behind Recommendations on Cellphone Risk

This article reaches other issues. If there is any doubt as to what cell phone radiation can do to you, then there has to be some one thinking about what whole body imagery at TSA check points can be doing to you. Johnathan Corbett wrote last week about the TSA taking the stance that they can overrule opting out of the imagery and going for a pat down. Now I personally do not have a problem with the Whole Body Imagery Units, but can understand anyone that does. In fact I would go as far as to say, a pregnant women would be and should be well within her rights to opt out. Here is what has been reported in the past to Federal Government Agents, Gigahertz wave radiation has been known to cause retina separation in the eye due to what, has not been determined. Now there is so much Gigahertz radiation in the air now days that it is hard to get away from. It must be stated that as I sit here at a laptop computer typing this I am getting direct Gigahertz radiation from the WiFi wireless connection. Not as direct or perhaps as powerful as what is coming from the Whole Body Imagery, but we are all bombarded with radiation from what is coming from multiple sources all around us. This by the way is no were near the amount of radiation coming from the Sun that bombards us inside and outside every second of the day. Outside we get burnt from the radiation at times, and we know that cancer can go with these burns. The bottom line is we have so much to learn from this radiation issue, we do need to tread cautiously about its effects. Opting out is really our last chance of treading cautiously. I am not sure where all this is going, but if the CDC is concerned about cell phones and the radiation concerns, it also would be a wise idea to have concerns about other radiation like from the whole body imagery.

Demand for ‘panic rooms’ growing

CTI has designed safe rooms for Kings of foreign countries, CEO's and upper management for Fortune 500 companies as well as just people at risk from bad guys. The ones here in the article are looking to start at ten thousand dollars for just a door. For clients and friends in the Rio Grande Valley we have outlined safe rooms starting in the 200 dollar range from items available from Home Depot and Loews. The key to me of this article is in the last section, and that is, these are not bunkers, they are a safe place to wait out a response from the Police or Security of Some type. Design your safe room for that response, usually in the 10 to 20 min, range in a City or perhaps 20 to 30 min, in a more rural area. If you have a weapon in the home it is normally best to design your home defense plan around a weapon and the safe room. Another point that this article brings out is communications, dialing and staying with 911 is a great idea, even if you have a weapon, communications is critical. Another form of communications is your alarm system, in car and in the home, and in the office. Most alarm systems have a warning system to the vendor, but normally will not call the police immediately, but what they do do, is provide a second link to the Police, which normally helps in generating a response. It also draws attention to the situation from others in the area, and gives the attacker(s) a lot to worry about, like witnesses and other guardians. If you do have a weapon, one issue police have found is that during an event with their car sirens and lights going off, it added to the stress and tension so much that their firearm aiming was degraded. Not many firearm ranges have lights and or alarm sirens, but you may want to check it out. There is also the problem of talking to responding police even the 911 operator with alarms going off, so during your planning test out how it will effect your communications. Here is a take away tip, have a phone charger in your safe room, even if it is only your bathroom, as well as extra ammunition if you do have a weapon. Please have a safe new year, and be aware..
