There's some questions on if the undercover officer was armed, as you can see, unless he was in the act of drawing b his weapon, it would have made little difference, the shooter was all ready to shoot and did. I praise the officer to have noticed something suspicious and acted on it, it forced the attackers hand and probably saved lives. As you can see with the attacker being shot and still detonating his bomb, that this is not where security wants to be, we want to detect them in the planning stages. That's when we all win.
