Pause for a second, take notice of those around you. Is there anything unusual going on around you? Nothing, pause again later, now? A critical part of any counter surveillance awareness, it to notice unusual things going on around you. That can be tough if you have never paused a second to look around. Every time you do you help build your base line of what is normal and what is not, IE unusual. Some time even the usual can be unusual, say a person that shows up at a bus stop near your building, every Tuesday at 7 AM, now is there on Monday at 8 AM nothing to arrest him over, but do take note. In a street environment in LA or Iraq or Paris, crowds of kids or people that usually hang in the area, are now looking nerves or have moved down the street could be the unusual event that lets you know an attack maybe next. The key is to always build and refine your baseline of what is normal, it may save your life.
