In the ESI class on counter espionage we deal with cyber security as well, the myth of VPN's being the solution to all security needs is addressed, but here is a good post on the hazards of many of the VPN solutions provided. But they also have provided a report that you can down load on the issue. Now this does not mean all VPN's are as malicious as these show, but believe me when I say no VPN solution is the answer to all security issues.
