Fuel Theft In Mexico Turns Deadly As Cartels Enter $1 Billion Black Market

The Cartels have been involved in the theft of fuel business for years. One Cartel has bought up Gas Stations in both the US border and in Mexico, making this a complete operations, a place to sell stolen fuel, capture credit card information from the buyers of the gas, and gather other intel on the buyers to determine if they are lucrative kidnap victims. Some experts are saying that the profits from these theft of fuel operations are on par with the profits from the drug sales. Add to this the local Mexican Governments take from the profits, it is largely ignored.
